Inner Strength Success Stories

Patti's Story


"I have had to watch my weight my whole life.  I tried all the diets that you can think of as well as some supplements. When I started my weight loss journey in 2008, I was a 51-year old that couldn’t even walk 100 yards without my knees hurting. There is no way that I could walk in a 5K and make it the whole 3.3 miles, even though I tried after losing less than 25 pounds.  I found myself always tired and making excuses for not being active because of my knees when most of it was due to my weight. 


I’ve lost over 180 pounds so far and all naturally, no surgery.  For a year and a half, I hit a plateau where I stayed in a narrow range.  With the help of my trainer Jesse Jackson, I am now losing weight again as well as getting stronger.  Since I started working with Jesse, I have lost over 10 pounds and that is just since May.  He made me realize it is still calories in versus calories burned. 


With Jesse’s guidance, I am doing exercises and weights that I have not been able to do since I was in my 30’s.  I also walk in at least one 5K a year and am now able to finish in under an hour.  I believe if you put your mind to it, you can do anything.  You just have to have the confidence in yourself and have a great support team around you!!"

"Jesse Jackson has not only helped me achieve a 50 pound weight loss goal, he has also mentored me along the path to my own personal training career. Jesse's knowledge of the human body is phenomenal and he is always finding or designing interesting and effective exercises to incorporate into my training program, many of which I then use on my own clients. Jennifer's Story


"I have been fighting obesity since my mid-teens.  At only 20 years old, I was already over 200 pounds and stayed over 200 pounds for 20 years.  Over the years, I had my ups and downs with weight loss and had tried various fad diets, exercise programs and medications, but my weight continued to fluctuate. 


The years of being morbidly obese took its toll on my life and my body.  I love to go to amusement parks, but discovered I could no longer fit into the rides and I had to have an extender for my seat belt when I traveled by plane.  I also developed hypertension and required two back surgeries within nine months of each other."
